Tier 4: New Season, Same Goal For 33 Teams

Hey everyone, my name is Keyon Cyrus and I’ll be your writer for Fall 2024 in Tier 4. I’ve began playing FPF in Spring 2023, started to scorekeep games for FPF in Winter 2025 and wrote the articles for Division A last season. For those playing in Tier 4 this fall, you have most likely played against me in the past seasons, had me scorekept a game of yours or if you were in the finals a few weeks ago, good chance I was on commentary for your championship game. This season, I’m taking the season off from flag due to injuries and starting my graduate studies but I’m eager to still be around the world of FPF and talking about the division I know most about. You will still see me around as my team Sophomore XL will be back in this division but under the name Sophomore XL Exchange Students.
As some of you may know, FPF is in the process of releasing a new website that will be mobile-friendly. With that, scorekeepers are also going to be improving their method of collecting your stats. Be patient as there can be hiccups on the way so give it some time. Also, uniforms need to be the same shade of colour for the team and a number that ISN’T TAPED OR DRAWN onto the back. We will give the first 2 weeks a grace period for teams but after that, it’s on the captain to make sure of this (ask my team, they know I’m on top of this).
We have 33 teams this season, a lot of teams back from Div D and E in Spring 2025, some from Div 5 & 6 in Winter 2025 and others are new teams that are built with veteran FPF players. With the large pool of teams, 24 will qualify for playoffs and the top 8 will receive a first round bye. At the end of the day, there will only be one team standing in December for the Tier 4 banner. With this being the start of Week 1, I wanted to give two questions for each team coming into this season:
Rum & Coke
Can Ben McMahon and Felix Clairmont lead the team on both sides of the ball after losing both Anthony Drysdale and Phillip Roberts? With Dante Gerardi back at QB, is this a championship or bust season for Rum & Coke?
NoFlagsGiven
Can this squad go back-to-back as Tier 4 champions and avenge their Winter 2025 first round loss? Can NoFlagsGiven’s defence that contain the ballhawks such as Shamar Rickard and Mike Phillips allow less points for this season compared to their 26.5 points allowed in Winter 2025?
Not Fast Just Furious
Fabrice Tremblay has had recent successful regular seasons over the years but with several first round exits, can he lead his team to overcome their playoff struggles? Can Vincent Demers’s rushes continue to elevate Not Fast Just Furious to win the defensive battles when it matters most?
FC Bing
After a tough 5v5 experience, can FC Bing get back to their winning ways, similarly to their 8-2 Winter 2025 Div 6B season? Can Charles Vuong be a dark horse to be WR of the Year under the arm of Marc-André Senécal?
Briscoe Hawks
With TD Blitz and Brothermen merging, how will these now-teammates work together in their first season? Will the leadership of George Spano and the accuracy arm of Alex O’Neill carry Briscoe Hawks into a potential playoff run?
Sophomore XL Exchange Students
How will Sophomore XL get over their playoff loss after their 10-0 seasons in both Spring 2024 & 2025? Can their defence step up after the departure of their captain (me!) but with the addition of Ryan Vanslet and return of Anthony Moustache with the core that they are bringing back?
Bible Study
Is Rocco Christiano and Nicholas Fon the best WR duo in this division and can they lead this squad to a Tier 4 championship? Will the QB play be an issue early in the season for this team?
Richter
Can we see another step in the QB play of Jeremy Steinberg after an efficient Spring 2025 season? With the core of this Spring 2025 team back, can this defence stand tall to compete with higher powered offenses this season?
Nut N’ Run
Can QB Nicholas Katerelos limit his interceptions to potentially unlock a new level of offence for his team? If Samuel Deland is playing for the full season, can he win his first award with Two-Way Player of the Year?
Studz
Coming off a championship in Div E and semifinals in Div D last season, will Pierre-Olivier Beaulne Lefebvre be throwing or will the veteran in Philippe Gélinas be the QB? Can Studz now use its championship experience to improve their defence which have been a concern in past seasons?
Ball Hawks
Will the two-way showing of Richie Mondesir be enough for top 8 seed for a bye? Who can also make an impact on the defensive side of the ball outside of Richie?
Bend Don’t Break
With two-way ballers in Dominic Weidner and Josh Notte, can Bend Don’t Break continue from their spring success into a post season birth? After his best season at QB this past season, is Luke Moreau the QB to lead this team back to the finals as he was in Spring 2023?
Texas Whales
Can this be the season that Tyler Cousins takes the next step from being a high risk high reward to strictly high reward? Will a healthy Elio Cariglia and Spring 2025 Div F DPOY in Chazz Pisanelli pull this team of close friends to their first winning season since last Spring?
First Down Snifflers
After a solid 7-3 and heartbreaking Div F finals loss, is a jump to Tier 4 a bit too much for First Down Snifflers or they are ready for the competition? Can Mathieu Couturier improve on lowering his INT and SKs numbers and proving that his team belongs in this division?
Team Ethnik
Will the aggressive mentality of the deep ball by Benoit Lawlor prove to be too much against teams that also have great defences? Can veterans in Angelo Mourelatos and David De Andrade anchor the defence towards lowering their 29.7 points allowed from last season?
Glogang
With Tyler Stewart returning to NFG this season, is Neil Loisel going to be throwing for Glogang and if so, will it take long for him to connect with his teammates? Can veteran Victor Rifiorati lead his team back into the playoffs for a championship run?
The Peckers
If Noah Lieblein is throwing for The Peckers, would it be controversial to say that his WR room has strongest depth in the division? With the merge of Trapstars and Gooners for this team, can they find similar success together?
Flag Dealers
Is this the season that Roy Khalil can reduce the high INTs numbers from the past or will a QB change be needed to find more success? With Marc & Michael Haddad being talented WRs that are dangerous in all 3 levels, can they be a team where they just outscores their opponents?
Airs University
After their semifinal loss last Spring, is Duncan Cook ready to put the division on notice with his deep ball ability? With Airs University’s defence improving each season, is this the season where they can have a top 10 defence in a loaded division?
Voodoo
Would the move to Tier 4 give Voodoo more fire towards finishing with a winning record? With veteran Frank Kaye throwing, is Kevin Marcil an early favourite to win WR of the Year?
Dragon Magique
Can Émile Bolullo take another step at QB after a strong Winter 2025 to being a QB of the Year candidate? Can the balanced play of Dragon Magique push them into a first round bye?
Dog Walkers
With experienced players in Julian McLaren-Thompson and Mike Badibabungi, will Dog Walkers be the team where no one knows what they are about and can be a surprise championship contender? Can the QB of this team rise to the occasion of Tier 4?
Uncle Rico’s Ryders
Is this the season for Uncle Rico’s Ryders to win a championship with this group? Will Mathew Yanakoulias’ connection with Justin Lerner proved to be too much for defences in Tier 4?
Brewers
Can the methodical scheme of Paolo “Peeze” Della Rocca be enough in Tier 4 this season? How can this veteran squad cope with the quickness of other teams in this loaded division?
Chomedey Chodes
How far can the Bottazzi connection lead Chomedey Chodes towards the playoffs? Who on this team can step up as a 2nd receiver to Jonathan Bottazzi?
Super Troopers
Is it safe to say Kenny Boutilier will lead the division in rushing yards by the end of the season and can push Super Troopers to a winning record once again? With Zackary Alberts-Gill not on the roster currently, how does this team replace a rusher of Zach’s abilities while being a solid defence?
Sour Puss
With the efficiency of Franco Russo, can Sour Puss tighten up their defence to be a team to worry about come playoff time? With a deep squad, who can be the player to elevate their game to be a game-changer on both sides of the ball?
Show me your TDs
With this being a second team for Gamblers in Tier 5, will the chemistry work to be an advantage especially for early in the season? Can Mathew Antonios replicate his Two-Way Player of the Year performance from last season in Division F into Tier 4?
Reborn Prospects
By being the Div 5A Winter champions and semifinalist in Div E, is Reborn Prospects the most complete team going into Fall 2025? With J.J. Fortuna coming back this season and with ball players in Jeam Clairemond jJr. César, Clifdji Solon and Nathanael Dinku, is this another championship team in the making?
Sans Pression
Formally known as UNSEEN, what can this squad take from their recent struggles in past seasons towards building a winning formula this season? With the largest registered roster in the division, can Sans pression find continuity early in the season when each game matters?
TuneSquad
With Garner Ross back at this season, will there be any rust for the QB after not throwing since last Fall? Can Jake Applebaum be the missing piece for this core of TuneSquad to make a deep playoff run?
Monstars
With several players leaving Tunesquad and bringing players in Lucas Quenneville & Tony Khoury from 1-9ers, what is the ceiling for Monstars this season? Can Charles Presser lead this team towards a bye by the end of the regular season?
Vice City
If Anthony Robichaud isn’t throwing for Vice City, which QB can step in and fill in the shoes of the efficient QB? How will Vice City open up the season in Week 3 where teams will have games already played by those early matchups?
