Week 5’s recap, awards, rants and the famous Midseason Breakdown

Oh how the Mighty have fallen.

Last week, I asked the kind people of FPF to please step up and create parity in Division C; 5 undefeated teams + 7 winless teams was WAY too much for my taste. I guess all I had to do was ask, huh.

After this week’s eventful action, we’ve crunched back down to 2 undefeated teams (No Fly Zone + Honey Badgers) and 5 winless teams. A serious improvement! Way to go, Division C. Let’s tally 0 on both boards by the end of the season, whatcha say?

Without further ado, I know you’re all just dying to read my midseason breakdown…

Let’s get started.

Week 5

This week’s format’s slightly different from my usual segments. You’ve been graced with the usual good stuff and I’ve decided to add my midseason breakdown (a fan’s favorite) in the mix.

This one’s for you guys; keep the feedbacks coming, I love it.

Thoughts of the Week

  • What a week ladies and gents. I’m amazed by how it turned out; in a very good way.
  • I don’t know how many times Moe Khan can apologize in one night, but it’s definitely way too much.
  • “Unleash the Lion” that’s a new one, Dan Lazzara. Although, I must say, I’m not sure a Lion with a soccer whistle is very threatening, but eh.
  • Don’t get me wrong, I love trash talking; I do it ALL the time, but you gotta know your place. Screaming “Too easy” when you’re down by 25 is simply disgraceful.
  • Has anyone seen FloJo recently? He’s been quiet as of late.
  • Alexandre Gatien is way too tall to make it even fair. People can’t even reach the ball on slants let alone Jumpballs.
  • I discovered this new sport called Combat Juggling. It looks amazing. Watch it HERE . They even have commentators. It’s a thing.
  • Personally, I have nothing against Pitbulls. I actually like them.
  • Orlando was an absolute disaster. I’m clueless how can things like that still happen in 2016.
  • On the flip side, 2016 allows cheating in High School now. That History Government exam fiasco was pretty funny to me. It was bound to happen at some point, right?
  • I know I’m A BIT late, but JetSurf looks AMAZING. I’m actually doing some research to own one this summer. Watch it HERE .
  • I’ve decided to switch things up a bit this week. More recaps, no previews. Let me know what you guys think !

Players of the Week

  • Jeremy Anderson (Honey Badgers): 2 Pick six’s and an offensive touchdown. Monstruous. Also, that was singlehandedly more points than his opponents all together.
  • Eddy Lee (The Commission): Some certain yards (113), 3 touchdowns and a picksix. Eddy Lee was all over the place against his former team.
  • Mendy Cardichon (Jagerbomb): Mendy had a night out there getting a rushing TD, a pick six and an offensive touchdown. If he would’ve thrown one, he would’ve scored in every possible way.
  • Francois Raymond (La Sauce): 107 of his QB’s 158 yards and 3 TDs. Pretty good night.

Recaps

Broccasion took the field against Varennes and it wasn’t pretty on neither ends. Anthony Vendrame was his steady-self, but his offense struggled to find a rhythm at any given point and gave Cerantola one too many shot at the endzone to walk away victor if you ask me. Broccasion suffered a bad case of drops on both sides of the ball as Johnathon Louis had, possibly, his worst outing ever and Lebofsky struggled offensively with the game on the line. It was a close game, but close doesn’t always mean good and this was that exact case. Both teams should’ve done better and we can expect bigger things from them in the upcoming weeks, but Varennes got lucky to walk away with the W in the absence of their star player Kevin Laliberté

Top Sauce looked to improve their record this week (and they did!) against Evolution as Rick Cummins tried to overcome his woes. Needless to say, it didn’t go as planned for neither teams. Actually, Top Sauce started off red hot and it looked like it was going to be a blowout and took the feet off the gas; a mistake they could’ve regretted. Cummins’ offense was going nowhere and took forever to put up points on the board as Evolution’s receivers looked frustrated out there trying to break coverage. Nardone didn’t have the prettiest outing as his 2nd half numbers were close to atrocious, but a win’s a win and they walked away with a convincing W. They’ll need to clean up their act if they want to stay atop as next week’s opponent won’t be such an easy game and Evolution will need to figure things out as the season is starting to look like a tough pill to swallow for the most part.

Former Tomahawk called in the Tower (as I like to call him) in Alexandre Gatien’s debut with the team was instant success as he caught most converts and his size was simply a pure mismatch for anyone trying to cover him. He could run a slant and no one could ever even reach for the football…it’s absurd. On the flip side, Former Tomahawk’s defense is looking gritty as the new additions of Corey Greenaway and now Gatien are paying dividends. A defense featuring Marquis and Greenaway is nasty in any given division, but in Division C; it’s bound to create sparkles and it has. Back under center, Jean-Francois Marquis has been phenomenal for his team as of late and Former Tomahawk are rolling into the midseason with a strong 4-1 record as Gotham Knights look down at theirs in despair.

Honey Badgers took one bite out of MVE in the clash of the Daoust brothers. Jeremy Anderson set the tone early with a pick-six on the first pass of the night from Gabriel Côté and caused another one later on during the night to push his team’s lead into safe distance. McKernan was as efficient as usual offensively, but the defense was really the key focal point of the night as they kept Lauzon under 100 yards and MVE to only 12 points as their offense struggled mightily in the first half. Leading 28-0 at the half, it was all said and done by the time the teams walked back out for the last 22 minutes.

At half time, No Big Deal were up by 7 on No Name and the game could’ve gone any given way, but Michael Roy had a serious meltdown as the second half rolled in and trouble started to emerge as the men in yellow started to quarrel DURING the game. Roy had one of his worst half ever in the second throwing 3 ill-advised picks as his receivers kept arguing amongst themselves and Applebaum lost no time to turn the tables on them and put this game away. No Big Deal’s defense looked good out there even without McLaren but offensively, something was missing. Sadly, I can’t put my finger on it, but Applebaum shouldn’t be getting multiple rushing TDs in the same night.

Jagerbomb headed for a halftime break down by 2 points against Stockton Slap and everything was looking bright for the Slap as they were forced to play without defensive playmaker Brent Callender on Monday night. Sadly, looking bright and being bright are two very different things and, in Joey Taylor’s words, he had the worst night of his life due to 22 bad minutes of football (and the crushing loss prior to that, but let’s not get into it just now). Throwing 3 terrible interceptions, Joey Taylor’s offense was kept scoreless in the 2nd half and Jagerbomb simply feasted upon their opponents as they put up a nice 19 to win it 37-20. Stockton had 0 counter to Cloutier’s offense and everything seemed to work well for them (from Cardichon’s rushing TD to Cloutier’s deep throws, they had plenty of tools to choose from). The pick-six from Mendy Cardichon was simply the dagger to Stockton’s night as Joey Taylor didn’t even run to try to tackle him on the way back as he was just wishing for the night to end and to go home.

Power Rankings

  1. No Fly Zone (5-0-0): Undefeated.
  2. Honey Badgers (5-0-0): Undefeated. And looking good.
  3. Coyotes (4-1-0): One loss happens. As long as it doesn’t happen, they’ll remain at the top.
  4. Top Sauce (4-1-0): Finally starting to back the talk. Well done, boys.
  5. Stockton Slap (4-1-0): Probably one of their worst week, ever.
  6. Former Tomahawk (4-1-0): Greenaway + Gatien? Dominant.
  7. The Commission (4-1-0): Impressed by how well these guys are doing.
  8. No Big Deal (3-1-1): Even without McLaren, they look GOOD.
  9. No Name (4-1-0): Cracks in the armor. And more than a single one too.
  10. 69ers (3-1-1): Their offense is looking good, but defense is where it’s at.

FlagPlus Fantasy Football

Justin Blanchard remains the champion as Mat Domon forfeits (I guess picking 8 players was too much to ask out of him). It’s a new low for fantasy players worldwide. There’s always this one guy in the league that plays guys on Bye Weeks, well, Mat did even worse; didn’t even have a guy in the playing slot out there.

Last week’s MVP: Francois Raymond – La Sauce

This week’s challenger is Terry Tam. Some of you may know him for being, well, everywhere, but he’s also an FPF media team member AND plays on 3 teams (Stockton Slap in Division C. Rest is irrelevant). Master of foods, we’ll see if he can do anything in Fantasy.

Let’s remind everyone of the simple rules we follow weekly:

  • Cannot draft someone from your own team
  • Cannot draft the same player twice (Gives an edge to Challenger)
  • Winner stays. Loser’s out.
  • Challenger picks first.

Here’s the scoring format we’ll be using this season:

Quarterbacks

  • 1 point per 15 yards passing
  • 3 points per passing TD
  • 1 point per 5 yards rushing
  • 5 points per rushing TD
  • – 2 points per interception
  • – 1 point per sack

Receivers

  • 1 point per 5 yards
  • 5 points per TD

Rusher

  • 7.5 points per sack

Defense

  • 1 point per 3 tackles
  • 1 point per 2 PD’s
  • 2 points per sack
  • 3 points per INT
  • 5 points per pick-six
  • 10 points for allowing 10 points or less
  • 8 points for allowing 11-20 points
  • 6 points for allowing 21-30 points
  • 4 points for allowing 31-40 points
  • 2 points for allowing 41-50 po ints
  • 1 point for allowing 51 + point

** Key note: If any given player wants to be part of the Fantasy Duel in the upcoming week, we need new challengers. Send me a message (FB, Twitter, email) and I’ll set you up. You don’t need to be media/well known. As long as you love FPF / Division C and will spend about 25-30 minutes of your time to draft your team, we’ve got a deal.

Midseason Breakdown

As some of you may know by now, after week 5, I write my Midseason break where I go through every team and discuss pros, cons and what’s what. It’s for you guys, here it is. Let’s go.

Few quick notes about my breakdown:

  • I didn’t rank teams in any specific order. Just went with what the FPF page gave me.
  • Grades aren’t regarding teams’ records but expectations. C means you are what I expected out of you, F means you were WAY below expectations and A means you’ve exceeded tremendously my expectations of you. So a 4-1 team can get a C and a 2-3 team could get a A.
  • Unlike James Floreani, I do the entire breakdown at all once.

Conference A

  • Coyotes (4-1-0)

Coming into the season with, basically, the same roster as this Winter, I had very high expectations for Coyotes and they haven’t disappointed. Aside from week 5’s mishap, they’ve been on absolute fire blowing teams out of the water and showing all who dares to watch how potent this offense really is. Sammy Feder is on track to win QB of the year and his defense is making plays for him week-in and week-out. They’re gunning for a back-to-back championship and they’ve got the team to do it with. Let’s see if they can execute once again.

Key players: Andrew Langburt, Sammy Feder, Kevin Smuda

Midseason Grade: B

Predicted record: 9-1-0

  • Top Sauce (4-1-0)

After their atrocious week 1 outing, Top Sauce got their feet under them and haven’t looked back. Without necessarily blowing teams out of the water, Top Sauce is slowly turning into a powerhouse in Division C (and with the names on this roster, it’s tough to imagine anything else). If it’s not Nardone carving up defenses with 41 points, it’s his defense (or himself) keeping the team afloat. Built to win, I can’t wait to see what happens with this season’s Top Sauce when the real season begins 6 weeks from now.

Key players: Vince Nardone, Maxime Giroux, Justin McLean

Midseason Grade: B+

Predicted record: 8-2-0

  • Show me Your TDs (3-2-0)

After a few bumpee performances, SMYTDs finally found their rhythm and managed to upset the heavily favored Coyotes to put themselves on the map and show they’re actual contenders in this division. Addona has been playing well enough and his defense has come leaps and bounds since Winter. If they can keep it up and have Bellavance and Lubin around more often, SMYTDs make actually be the best team no one talks about in Division C. Oh, and they also have one of the easiest second half of schedule I’ve seen in a while!

Key players: Anthony Addona, Julien Bellavance, Mike Addona

Midseason Grade: B

Predicted record: 7-3-0

  • La Sauce (3-2-0)

Without Francois Raymond at QB, La Sauce isn’t exactly what we’ve grown used to, but Cory Kennedy is getting Ws and that’s all that matters. Following their 3 wins streak, La Sauce finally right the ship and are on their way to regain their previous mantra. Time will tell if they can get it done, but with playmakers like Desgent, Raymond, Marcil, Hogue and Ambroise, there’s little doubt that these guys can succeed in Division C. As long as Kennedy allows his receivers to make plays for him, they’ll continue to find some sort of success.

Key players: Francois Raymond, Francois Hogue, Kevin Marcil

Midseason Grade: C+

Predicted record: 5-5-0

  • Eskimo Brothers (2-3-0)

Eskimo Brothers started the season red-hot before hitting a rough patch right before midseason. In fact, their offense was flying high for the first two games, but they’ve struck out and haven’t put up 30 since week 2. Unless Stachowski gets back out there and does what he’s known for, Eskimo Brothers will continue to struggle. With names like Ruffner, Steen, Oliver and Cione on this roster, it’s tough to think they are below .500. With, possibly, the toughest 2nd half of the schedule, can Eskimo Brothers finish strong?

Key players: Shawn Steen, Corey Oliver, Trevor Ruffner

Midseason Grade: C-

Predicted record: 4-6-0

  • TOPSZN (1-4-0)

TOPSZN has always been known to have good playmakers, but a lack of leadership and a huge question mark at QB. This season seems to reveal the same good ol’ issues as to what’s happening with TOPSZN. With the possibility of having Lonnie Johnson full time at QB, TOPSZN could’ve found a temporary solution to their problem, but week 5 is already in the rear-view mirror and TOPSZN’s playoff hopes might as well be. With very winnable games coming up, they’ll need to seize the day and win out to make playoff happen.

Key players: Akeem Hoyte-Charles, Kyle Santana, Hasari Worrell

Midseason Grade: D

Predicted record: 3-7-0

  • Evolution (0-5-0)

With a lot of veterans on this roster, I wasn’t expecting Evolution to be undefeated at this point of the season as Rick Cummins was making a comeback at QB, but I wasn’t expecting them to be struggling THIS much neither. Evolution’s defense, led by Cutler, Cummins and Adams has been pretty good, but they are on so often that it’s tough for them to keep up at times. Offense has been an absolute disaster and they’ve put up more than 12 points ONCE this season. Unless Cummins finds ways to resurge his offense, we might see a winless team this season.

Key players: Phil Cutler, Hinsley Adams, Mario Choueri

Midseason Grade: F

Predicted record: 0-10-0

  • Honey Badgers (5-0-0)

Seeing the names on this roster, I knew Honey Badgers were built to compete and here they are, undefeated, 5 weeks later. Every single player on this team carries their own weight and McKernan has been fantastic under center throwing NO interception in 5 games. With a slightly tougher schedule right around the corner, we’ll see what the boys can do, but with Ganter, Moses, Daoust and Anderson on both sides of the ball, I have little doubt about their abilities.

Key players: Jeremy Anderson, Dilan Daoust, Doug McKernan

Midseason Grade: B+

Predicted record: 9-1-0

  • 69ers (3-1-1)

I had my doubts about what 69ers could do with Dean Demetriou under center, but he’s been more than able to lead his team and his defense has been, as usual, pretty solid. As we can all see on the Game of the Week, 69ers’ receivers need some help, but Demetriou has been clutch with his friends and his team has been successful. Aside from that one loss to Stockton Slap, 69ers have been pretty dominant and will continue to do so for the rest of the season.

Key players: Dean Demetriou, Darcy Cloherty, Shea Harbour

Midseason Grade: A

Predicted record: 6-3-1

  • Jagerbomb (3-2-0)

Star QB Simon Duchesne suffered a tough injury early on and I didn’t know what to expect out of Jagerbomb from that point on. With the way Jeremie Cloutier took over under center and managed to shine, I have little doubt that Jagerbomb will be making another playoff push with or without Duchesne under center. Taking nothing away from his performance this season, but the team as a whole has been playing great. The addition of Mendy Cardichon has really paid off and they’ve managed to stay ontop for yet another season.

Key players: Maxime Marsan, Jeremie Cloutier, Jean-Felix Daloze

Midseason Grade: B+

Predicted record: 6-4-0

  • Broccasion (2-3-0)

Coming into the season, I had Broccasion ranked really high in my rankings expecting them to go on a roll and finish at the top of the rankings. I guess that’s not happening. Broccasion has been blowing teams out of the water or losing really close games, so they are competitive and DO NOT rule them out as they’ll make the playoffs, but I can’t say I’m not disappointed in what they’ve shown thus far. They’ll have to clean up their act and play much better if they want to make a push for that trophy.

Key players: Kyle Lebofsky, Johnathon Louis, Justin Cerantola

Midseason Grade: D

Predicted record: 6-4-0

  • Gotham Knights (1-4-0)

Gotham Knights have been keeping games close, but they simply can’t seem to bag the Wins and walk away with their heads high on a weekly basis. After their clash with Jagerbomb and the way it finished, it’s tough to say that Gotham Knights aren’t contenders, yet, the might end up on the outside looking in as their second half of the season has 3 very tough opponents and they’ll need at the very least 3 wins to be considered relevant. Chris Rivest will need to elevate his play and put up more than his 2.8 TD / game average to get a streak and a playoff chance going. They have the team for it, now they just need to execute. It isn’t too late.

Key players: David Faucher, Alexandre Gaudet, Alexandre Provencher-Rivest

Midseason Grade: C-

Predicted record: 3-7-0

  • Killa Beez (0-5-0)

With a slightly revamped version of their Winter team, Killa Beez are back with a different QB and things haven’t gone their way a single. Although they put up a good fight against Honey Badgers week 1, they’ve struggled to be relevant the rest of the way and Olson’ 11:10 ratio is mediocre to say the least. Defense has been making plays, but offense simply isn’t putting out anything and even if they do wear sick jerseys, it might just be a tough one to swallow and to put away.

Key players: Fernando Massa, Stephan Osman, Matt Brown

Midseason Grade: D-

Predicted record: 1-9-0

Conference B

  • No Fly Zone (5-0-0)

Bolstering the best roster on paper in the division, there was little doubt NFZ would reach success. The only question is; can they keep up and remain ontop? Rich Humes has shown ups and downs, but his defense is strong enough to ball him out on any given week. If playmakers like Gualano, Sanner, Martinez, St-Pierre are able to simply touch the football, they’ll make create things happen for this team this season. Time will tell just how far these guys can go.

Key players: Rich Humes, Steve Sanner, Eddy Martinez

Midseason Grade: C+

Predicted record: 10-0-0

  • No Name (4-1-0)

After a very strong start of the success, cracks in the armor are starting to reveal themselves. Worry not, No Name has the talent and the experience to overcome any given trouble they could have to face aside from internal ones. Losses happen and it’s usually nothing to worry about, but there are some things that are worrisome and needs to be fixed before taking the field a second time. From what I’ve noticed, No Name will be contenders by the end of the regular season and will be prepared to make a deep push.

Key players: Jonathan Grizzley, Robert White, Simon Laporte

Midseason Grade: A

Predicted record: 7-3-0

  • No Big Deal (3-1-1)

On paper, this team IS a big deal. In reality, they’ve downplayed their own potential due to Jordan McLaren’s absence. In fact, I feel like this team has enough talent and potential without him, but they tend to rely heavily on their playmaker to get things going and his absence hurts them. With guys like Farag, Rockman, the White brothers, Applebaum, Freedman, there’s very little need for bigger stars. NBD can get things going once again; it’s just a matter of time.

Key players: Jake Applebaum, Josh White, Daniel Farag

Midseason Grade: C+

Predicted record: 6-3-1

  • BearSkins (3-2-0)

This is one of those teams where I’m not sure whether I’m impressed or disappointed with their current performance. They’ve played well up to this point, but dropped some games that I expected them to win and I feel like the roster is not as strong as it should be with all the playmakers that they have. Neil Etinson is having a good season, but their defense is lacking turnovers and overall, it feels lacklusting. With their only losses being to Top Sauce and NFZ, I guess I’m overrating. Time will tell how these guys fare.

Key players: Aleksander Papich, Marco Bertoldi, Alex Sepasi

Midseason Grade: B-

Predicted record: 6-4-0

  • Brunch Buddies (1-4-0)

1-4 is a serious disappointment for a team that went 8-2 in Winter, but Legault and Saro’s absence has been troubling both offensively and defensively. The addition of FPF Jr. star Juwan Edghill has already paid dividends and he’s helping Blanchard and Lyristis shine brighter in my offense. With most games being as close as they were, I’m not too worried, but it’s time to right the ship before it’s too late; unless we go on a streak, our season is basically over.

Key players: Justin Blanchard, Juwan Edghill, Jonathan Lyristis

Midseason Grade: D

Predicted record: 5-5-0

  • Keyport Lock (0-5-0)

This is the definition of disappointment. Keyport Lock had a brilliant season in Winter 2016 in Division 4B as Rosenblatt battled for a shot at QB of the year and now can’t seem to get a single win; yet a lot keep games close. Keyport has a -73 differential after 5 games and not a single point. Seeing how huge their roster is at this point, we can say with ease just how flawed this roster truly is. 2 guys were at all 5 games : Jeff Rosenblatt and Ryan Aridi. Season isn’t over, but the 2nd half isn’t a cakewalk and they’ll need to go through a massive overhaul if they want to keep any hopes of winning alive.

Key players: Ryan Aridi, Thierry Gerville, Jeremy Cola

Midseason Grade: F

Predicted record: 2-8-0

  • Les Blues Branleurs (0-5-0)

Les Blues Branleurs have playmakers and talented athletes all over the place, but really can’t seem to get anything going any given week. Defense isn’t bad, but it’s on the field all the time and are just giving up SO MANY points every single week. With guys like Arthur Vie, Minh Ton-That and Tomas Concilio, I could’ve seen things going in the right direction for them, but they don’t seem to take FPF seriously enough to get Wins in Division C this Spring.

Key players: Minh Ton-That, Arthur Vie, Olivier Laberge

Midseason Grade: D

Predicted record: 1-9-0

  • Stockton Slap (4-1-0)

With Joey Taylor throwing in Division C, I was expecting nothing less but a successful offense and I am not disappointed. Regardless of last week’s mishap, Stockton Slap has been keeping games close and getting wins when it really matters. 4-1 is still a pretty impressive record. Defense has been making plays and creating turnovers and Rupcic has been leading the charge with 3 picks so far. If they can get over what happened last Monday at Stade, they’ll quickly get back to what works well for them and getting wins. I’m not worried about these guys.

Key players: Joey Taylor, Matthew Rupcic, Foti Evangelista

Midseason Grade: B

Predicted record: 8-2-0

  • The Commission (4-1-0)

I didn’t know what to expect out of The Commission this preseason with household names on the roster, but the franchise has suffered greatly as of late and this roster is probably the division’s largest. Regardless, Avraam has been up to the task and putting up numbers week-in and week-out with different receivers. With only 1 interception in 5 games, TC’s offense has been playing it safe which, in turns, got them Wins. Their defense makes plays happen out of, well, not much ad it’s been a pleasure to watch.

Key players: Sean Avraam, Eddy Lee, Keeshon Mayers

Midseason Grade: A

Predicted record: 7-3-0

  • Former Tomahawk (4-1-0)

This season’s revelation is Former Tomahawk. The team itself is well built, but the new additions are simply adding the playmaking abilities they were missing to go from middle of the pack to contenders. Marquis is back under center and the team is answering his call brilliantly over the last few weeks. With a tougher second half of the schedule, I expect Cauchon and Savage to see more targets on both sides of the ball as people tend not to throw towards Greenaway/Marquis and to make plays when it really matters. Former Tomahawk might just be Conference B’s darkhorse this season.

Key players: Jean-Francois Marquis, Olivier Savage, Mathieu Cauchon

Midseason Grade: A+

Predicted record: 8-2-0

  • Varennes (3-2-0)

Anthony Vendrame came back under center after a small hiatus and doesn’t seem to have lost a step whatsoever. He’s never been known for having a flashy offense, but who needs one when you can put up 40’ish points on a weekly basis. Although they’ve hit a small bump in the road recently, I have no doubts that Varennes will right the ship and head into the playoffs on a good note. With guys 5 of their 7 defenders getting picks within the first half of the season, we’re left to wonder where can one throw against these guys.

Key players: Anthony Vendrame, Laliberté brothers, Francis Dunn

Midseason Grade: B+

Predicted record: 6-4-0

  • MVE (2-3-0)

After a tough start to the season (Gabriel Côté’s absence to one game definitely hurts), MVE got back on their feet and got things going by upsetting some heavy favorites to battle their way to a decent record at this point. Vincent Lauzon has been a revelation for this team offensively, but Côté will need to learn to distribute the ball a bit better if he wants to keep piling up Ws instead of L’s as a single receiver can’t carry a team 10x in a single season. With an interesting schedule coming up, it’ll be fun to see how MVE handles what’s coming their way.

Key players: Vincent Lauzon, Derek Daoust, Gabriel Côté

Midseason Grade: C+

Predicted record: 4-6-0

  • Warhawks (0-5-0)

For some reason, Warhawks are winless at this point of the season. They have the playmakers, they have the experience, but they can’t seem to finish any given game. Mallette has been struggling and his defense isn’t bailing him out with only 2 picks in 5 games. Unless they find a way to improve their redzone offense (because yardage hasn’t been an issue to be honest), they might end up with another disappointing season on their hands. At 0-5, it’s now or never.

That sums it for this week’s article. It’s always a pleasure to write and hear back from you guys. After all, the content is meant 99% for you. I keep a percent for me; ranting here and there is fun after all. You can always reach me via twitter @DagenaisFPF or via email ([email protected]). I’ll be at Lachine every Sunday night scorekeeping/playing and at the new Stade on Mondays so you can stop by and chat. Don’t hesitate. Eagle confirmed; he calls his mother once a week. What a bad child.
