The letter grades correspond as so;

A – You’ve exceeded pre-season expectations.  I never would have thought the team in question would have performed this well.

B – The team is surpassing the expectations that I placed on them ahead of the season, or perhaps you meeting expectations with your record, but have won close matchups against tough opponents.

C – I was right, and the team is performing exactly as expected.

D- Your team has underperformed in comparison to pre-season expectations. You’ve probably lost matchups which your squad was favoured to win.

Dime and Bougie (5-1)

Other then their week 2 one point loss to the Infantry, Dime and Bougie has been playing to their standard. Winning 6 straight, this team is performing exactly how I thought they wood as they are currently sitting in the #2 seed in tier 2. A big part of their success has been QB Jules Regimbald who is plating out of his mind. In 6 games, He has thrown for 1200 yards, 30 TD’s and 1 INT. Completing over 75% of his passes Jules is playing perfect football leading his team to wins every week. Another player that has stood out for Dime and Bougie has been Felix Boutet. Leafing the team in receiving yards and Touchdowns. His blazing speed is hard for anyone in all of FPF to handle. He also has gotten 3 sacks. The thing I love most about this team is that every single player on this roster has scored at least 1 TD. Sitting at 5-1 with only 2 games left on their schedule I don’t see them losing another game this regular season.

Grade: B-

Prediction Record: 7-1

Kiss My Inlaws (5-0)

Kiss My Inlaws have displayed exceptional execution, and individual brilliance, earning them the current #1 seed. With their star-studded lineup and impeccable record, they are poised to continue their dominance in the regular season. The offense led by QB Iggy Manzanedo has been nothing short of spectacular. Manzanedo’s impressive stats of 1000 yards passing, 29 touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions in their first 5 games showcase his accuracy and decision-making on the field. His ability to read defences and connect with his targets has been instrumental in the team’s undefeated record. While the defense has performed as well as they as a unit have secured 13 INT’s. They’ve shown moments of brilliance and the only improvements KMI can make is their QB pressure as they have only sacks opposing QB’s 3 times this season. Star Player Vincent Benjamin has been a force to be reckoned with on the field. Leading the division in receiving touchdowns, Benjamin’s explosive plays and exceptional route-running have been a nightmare for opposing defences. His contributions have been crucial in securing victories for Kiss My Inlaws. With the momentum they’ve built in the first half of the season, it’s my prediction that Kiss My Inlaws will maintain their undefeated status. Their skillful quarterback, stellar defense, and the unstoppable force that is Vincent Benjamin make them the toughest opponent for any team in the league. Keep an eye on Kiss My Inlaws as they strive for perfection and look to make a deep playoff run. The second half of the season promises to be just as thrilling as the first!

Grade: C+

Prediction Record: 8-0

Junkyard Dogs

The Junkyard Dogs, once a dominant force, have faced challenges in recent seasons. The absence of key players like Paul Lapierre, Rory Semerjian, and Marvin Steinberg has been felt profoundly. Their last standout season was in winter 2022, where they finished 8-2. Recapturing that level of success will require concerted effort and perhaps roster adjustments. The Junkyard Dogs’ offense has struggled to find the rhythm it once had, missing the firepower of FPF veterans. QB Jason Rossie, though showing moments of brilliance, has been in a middle-of-the-pack position with 18 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. There’s room for improvement in terms of consistency and execution. The defense has been a significant stumbling block for the Junkyard Dogs this season. With only three interceptions and a staggering 200 points conceded, it’s clear that there’s a need for a major overhaul. Tightening up the secondary and applying more pressure up front should be key areas of focus for the team moving forward. For tier 2 this roster is performing at a level I expected and their schedule does not allow for any easy matchups. For JYD The team’s 1-4 record reflects a disappointing first half of the season. It’s evident that the Junkyard Dogs have faced an uphill battle. Rebuilding and finding new leaders on both sides of the ball will be crucial for a turnaround. The second half of the season provides an opportunity for redemption. With a renewed focus on fundamentals and a strategic approach to their game, the Junkyard Dogs can still make their mark in the league. It’s time to regroup, refocus, and rise to the challenge ahead for this season and any other upcoming.

Grade: C

Prediction Record : 1-7

Fins Up (3-2)

The quarterback situation has been a significant factor in Fins Up’s mixed performance this season. Will Power’s inconsistent availability has forced the team to rely on Brady Ohanessian and David Gutovski. While they’ve stepped up admirably, the lack of a consistent starter has undoubtedly affected the team’s cohesion and rhythm. Fins Up’s 3-2 record is slightly below preseason expectations. The inconsistent quarterback situation has played a significant role in this underperformance. With a more stable presence under center, the team has the potential to meet or even exceed preseason projections. Fins Up’s offense has been a bright spot this season, largely thanks to the dynamic 1-2 punch of DonnDre Borden and Marvin Steinberg at wide receiver. Together, they’ve accounted for an impressive 13 touchdowns and 400 yards. Their contributions have been instrumental in keeping the team competitive. The defense has shown promise but has struggled to consistently shut down opponents. There have been moments of brilliance, but there’s room for improvement, especially in terms of limiting big plays against top teams like KMI and Les Potes a Bessette. With three games remaining, there’s still ample opportunity for Fins Up to make a strong playoff push. If they can have Will at quarterback continue to rely on the outstanding play of Borden and Steinberg, they have the potential to be a force in the second half of the season. I think this team will be able to turn their record into a good one and find themselves in the top playoff bracket.

Grade: D+

Prediction Record: 6-2

Les Potes a Bessette (2-3)

Les Potes à Bessette’s offense has displayed flashes of brilliance, particularly in their impressive 33-6 victory against Fins Up. However, there have been inconsistencies, most notably in the surprising loss to Game Changers. With Frédéric Paquette-Perrault at quarterback, the team has the potential for greater offensive output, and finding that consistency will be key moving forward. Frédéric Paquette-Perrault has shown moments of excellence, but there’s room for improvement. His ability to read defences and make smart decisions will be critical in pushing the team to meet preseason expectations. His ball protection has been outstanding as usual but I would like to see him take more chances late in games. He has the potential to elevate the offense to a higher level and I expect this team to score 30 points every game minimum. WR Tristan Fiske-Casault’s impressive 11 touchdowns and 357 yards in just four games put him in strong contention for Receiver of the Year. A few more stat-padded games could solidify his position as the favourite for the award. At 2-3, Les Potes à Bessette’s performance is slightly below preseason expectations. With their talented roster, there’s potential for improvement in the second half of the season. Consistency on both sides of the ball will be crucial in achieving their full potential. Unfortunately I do not think this team will be able to secure enough wins to participate in the top playoff bracket and will have a tougher time in the playoffs.

Grade: D-

Prediction Record: 4-4

The Stoics (1-2-1)

The Stoics are the only team who receive an A grade due to their performance through 4 weeks. A tie in week one vs arouch and only a one point loss to the infantry isn’t how the stoics wanted to start their season but it definitely impressed me. QB under center Chris Rivest has had a under the radar great season. 700 yards, 17 TD’s and only 1 INT. His TD-INT ratio has been spectacular. His completion percentage has been average but what really surprises me is that he has only been sacked 6 times. I haven’t had an opportunity to watch he Stoics in action yet but either Rivest is moving well in the pocket or has been releasing the ball quick, either way he’s been making opposing rushers irrelevant. If players like Jeanslee Alexis and Joey Notaro are eligible for playoffs this roster can be very talented. The Stoics defence has not had crazy numbers put up against them which is surprising due to the fact that they have only forced 3 INT’s and 0 sacks. If their defence can’t step up even a little more they should be able to win more games then I initially predicted prior to this season.

Grade: A

Prediction Record: 3-4-1

The Boys are Back? (0-4)

Unfortunately, not many positives this season for this team. Perhaps jumping into Tier 2 was a big step to take especially for QB Joe Kano who’s last time throwing in FPF was in Division 4 for chocolate thunder back in 2020. This team is playing like I expected in this tier along with their difficult schedule. Joe Kano has only thrown 5 TD is 3 games as The Boys are Back forfeited their last game Vs Dirty Birds. 0 INT’s and 0 Sacks for this teams defence which needs to be turned around if this team wants to get a win or two.

Grade: C

Prediction record:0-8

EZW (3-1)

Unsure of wether Jeremy White would be the QB for this squad I left them off my top bracket in the before the season started. I thought this team would be lucky to end the season with about 3 or 4 wins after the way this team performed in Div B last season. Only 1 win last season but they look like their on their way to only having one loss this fall season. Jeremy White has been great so far this season as he has thrown for 20 TD’s and only 2 INT’s. He is one of the most sacked QB’s in tier 2 though. Jeremy likes to hold onto the ball and extend plays with his feet and at times allows them to lose yards but it hasn’t seemed to hurt them all that much. Their only loss coming to The Infantry, one of tier 2’s top teams. I think this team has a great chance to win out and close rest of their season with only one loss and finishing in the top bracket. The ball gets spread on offence where 5 receivers have caught over 100 yards. Im excited to see how this team will perform in the post season against the other top 8 teams of tier 2.

Grade: B+

Prediction Record: 7-1

Beer Belly Brigade (1-3)

Beer Belly Brigade has shown signs of improvement compared to last season’s performance in Division B. However, there’s still work to be done on the offensive front. Alexandre Fafard’s versatility has been a highlight, with his rushing stats outshining his passing. With 600 passing yards and nearly 200 rushing yards, Fafard has demonstrated his ability to contribute in various ways. Alexandre Fafard has been a key player for Beer Belly Brigade this season. While his passing stats are solid, his ability to make plays with his legs adds a dynamic element to the offense. With more consistent play and improved decision-making, Fafard has the potential to elevate the team’s performance and reduce his turnovers as he has 7 in 4 games. With four games remaining, there’s ample opportunity for Beer Belly Brigade to continue their upward trajectory. Fafard’s dual-threat capabilities provide a unique advantage, and with further development, he could become a focal point of the offense.

Prediction Record: 3-5
