Sunday Previews

Flag Moi L’Sac vs Braves: Two of the league’s heavyweights facing off in what I expect to be a blow for blow, punch for punch shootout. There will not be a shortage of points in this one so I’m going to assume that the first team to make a stop should take it away. Keep an eye on the Pilon vs Vendrame match up, they both have the ability to change the outcome of the game in a single play. PREDICTION: Braves 42-38

Killa Bees vs #NR: The season has just started but this almost feels like a must win game for the Killa Bees who are sitting at 1-2. They will certainly be looking for that offensive spark tonight as they are yet to score 20+ points in a game this season. For #NR it will be business as usual, this game presents a great opportunity for them to pick up their defensive game play. Excited to see what kind of show Quaid Johnson puts on for us tonight, he has yet to be contained this season and I’m counting on him to keep #NR undefeated. PREDICTION: #NR 36-18

Pineapple Express vs Past Our Prime: P.O.P has been getting better every week. They started the season 0-2 but last week’s huge win (46-41) has given them a fighting chance to turn the season around. QB Craig O’Brien had a near perfect performance going 26/30, throwing 7 TDs and nearly 300 yards (288). It’s safe to say that he will need a repeat performance this week if they want to take down a deadly Pineapple express squad lead by Chris Olson and Dominic Benevento. Olson had the crucial bounce back game they needed, but another key factor to their success so far has to be the mix of young players they added to their roster. Big plays from new acquisition Nicholas Gropini are exactly what they need to make the difference in close games. PREDICTION: Pineapple Express 32-20

Backwood Boyz vs OK Boomers: Can the boomers pull off an upset? It’s possible, but extremely unlikely. What they lack in athletes, they make up for in experience so they’ll need an all around all-star performance from best athlete and most experienced star/work horse Justin Blanchard. As for the Backwood Boyz, if they treat this like another day at the office and don’t play down to the boomers’ level they should run away with this game early. Having sure handed guys like Santino Sparagna and Erminio Iadeluca makes the job that much easier for QB Alessandro Barazzoni, it also makes it unfair for anyone they face. PREDICTION: Backwood Boyz 30-18

Suicide Squad vs Pension Plan: Pension Plan will need to bring their A game to this match up if they want to walk away victorious and keep their undefeated hope alive. They have the chemistry, they have the experience and they have Anthony Siggia. They will need some big play ability tonight vs a team of young studs. Suicide Squad is also undefeated and would like to keep it that way but it won’t be an easy walk in the park for them. They’re the clear favourites in this division and it’s no question why with guys like Gabriel Wiseman on the team. PREDICTION: Pension Plan 28-21

Taco Tuesday vs Terror Squad: This should be a nail biter. Two evenly matched rosters, two smart QBs and two experienced teams. Taco Tuesday is undefeated and Terror Squad is looking to turn things around sitting at 1-2. QB Tam Vilaydeth will be looking to hook up with his top target Alex Pilon and Taco Tuesday will need to do what they can on the defensive side of the ball to contain him from making the big plays we know he can. I’m counting on Taco Tuesday rusher Isiah Allard to do what he does best and give the opposing QB a hard time which will likely lead to some poor decisions or a poorly thrown ball. PREDICTION: Taco Tuesday 38-34
