FPF Division E – Week 2 Recap & Outlook

,After two weeks of play in division E, the Spring 2025 season is quickly taking shape. Maybe because there wasn’t much of a break from the winter season, But players already look like their in midseason form. With a massive field of 27 teams, this division features a dense schedule, and a growing list of great athletes. Every game matters in a 10-game sprint to the playoffs, and as teams begin to establish their rhythm, early results are huge.

The standings remain crowded, many squads have played just once, but a few performances have already set the tone for what might be to come.


Unbeaten Teams starting hot

Blue Mountain State (2–0)
Through two weeks, Blue Mountain State is one of just two teams sitting at 2–0. Their defense has allowed just 13 points per game, and their offense has executed nicely. Quarterback Caleb Willms sits near the top of the statistical leaderboard with 265 passing yards and 8 touchdowns. On defense, Victor Lasnier-Davies leads the team with 10 tackles and 1 interception, while Willms has also contributed 2 sacks. BMS has won both games convincingly and currently holds a +26 point differential.

Sophomore XL (2–0)
The other 2–0 team is Sophomore XL, who sit atop the division in point differential at +35. In their two wins, they’ve scored 78 total points, thanks in part to an offence led by quarterback Vaughn Vanslet (173 yards, 5 TDs) and receiver Dante Sparagna, who posted 114 yards and 3 TDs on 7 receptions. Defensively, Michael Schiller and Keyon Cyrus have each contributed 2 interceptions and 5 pass deflections between them.

Unicorns (1–0)
In their only game so far, the Unicorns made a major impact with a 45–30 victory over STUDZ 2. Devin Kreuzer completed 21 of 27 passes for 255 yards and 6 touchdowns. Dante Gerardi caught all 6 of his targets for 120 yards and 5 scores, giving him the early division lead in both receiving yards and touchdowns. The Unicorns also forced 1 interception.

Richter (1–0)
Richter won their opener 43–6 over Armed Robbery. QB Jeremy Steinberg threw 6 touchdowns and had a elite passer rating of 128.1. Scott Binns had a huge game on both sides of the ball, catching 6 passes for 37 yards and 3 touchdowns while also registering 4 tackles and 2 interceptions. Daniel Levitsky and Adam Malinoff each added a pick.

Tunesquad (1–0)
Tunesquad earned a 33–8 win over Northvolt in Week 1. QB Charles Presser tossed 5 touchdowns, and the receiving duo of Jake Applebaum and Michael Sitcoff each had 2 scores. Applebaum also added an interception and 2 pass deflections.

Chomedey Chodes (1–0)
Chomedey Chodes opened the season with a 40–20 win over Takeoff Squad. QB Matthew Bottazzi was efficient with 3 touchdowns and no turnovers. Jonathan Bottazzi led the team with 3 receiving TDs, 2 interceptions, and a pick-six — one of the best two-way performances of the week.

Bend Don’t Break (1–0)
In their lone game so far, Bend Don’t Break took care of business with a 30–12 win over Takeoff Squad. Their defense allowed just 2 touchdowns, and the offence did what it had to.

Texas Whales (1–0)
After going 1–9 last season, Texas Whales started strong with a 42–14 win over Sour Puss. QB Tyler Cousins threw 4 TDs with a 73.3% completion rate, while his defense intercepted 4 passes — 2 each from George Spano and Reno Cariglia.

Airs University (1–0)
Airs University held on for a 13–12 victory over Demons in Week 1. QB Duncan Cook had 2 touchdown passes. On defense, Daniel Mennitti registered 2 sacks and 1 pass deflection, while Kyle Gordon recorded 8 tackles.

Not Fast Just Furious (1–0)
They opened with an 18–6 win over Pack a Punch. QB William Seguin threw for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. On defense, Vincent Demers made the biggest impact of any rusher in the division, registering a division-leading 3 sacks.

Gold Rush (1–0)
Gold Rush outlasted Reborn Prospects 30–28 in their only game. Ness Saleh threw 4 touchdown passes, though the team did commit 2 interceptions. Natanel Elfassy contributed 2 interceptions defensively, while Jared Boidman caught 2 touchdown passes.

Chapeau Perdu (1–0)
In a Week 1 thriller, Chapeau Perdu edged Sweet Bonanza 37–36. QB Thierry Bernier threw 5 touchdown passes. Samuel Caron caught 3 of them and finished with 85 yards. On defense, Shawnster Fontainester, Thierry Bernier, and Élliot Ramier each recorded an interception.


Middle of the Pack

Empereurs Retraités (1–1)
Empereurs Retraités started strong with a 34–18 win over Head Tops Only, but dropped a Week 2 game to Sophomore XL by a score of 38–31. QB Mathieu Duchesne threw 5 touchdowns in that loss, while William Ringuet contributed 2 TDs in the opener. The team currently has a +9 point differential and has already faced two of the top five teams in the early standings.


They will get better

Northvolt (0–2)
Northvolt has started 0–2 with losses to Tunesquad and Blue Mountain State. QB Xavier Lapointe has thrown for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns and the team has struggled to stay in games, posting a -30 point differential.

Takeoff Squad (0–2)
Takeoff Squad has also dropped both games, falling to Chomedey Chodes (40–20) and Bend Don’t Break (30–12). QB Paul Beaudoin did throw for 249 yards and 3 touchdowns in Week 1, but also had 2 interceptions and was sacked twice.

STUDZ 2 (0–1)
STUDZ 2 lost their opener 45–30 to Unicorns despite solid individual efforts. QB Pierre-Olivier Beaulne Lefebvre threw for 234 yards and 5 TDs, and Philippe Gélinas added 96 receiving yards and a score.

Reborn Prospects (0–1)
A 30–28 loss to Gold Rush puts Reborn Prospects in an early hole. QB Jeam Clairemond Jr. César had 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Charles-Emile Deveault led the team with 71 receiving yards and a TD.

Sweet Bonanza (0–1)
Despite scoring 36 points, Sweet Bonanza lost to Chapeau Perdu by a single point. QB Antoine Caron had a rough outing with just 6 completions and 3 interceptions, but the offense still managed 5 touchdowns.

Demons (0–1)
Demons lost a tight 13–12 game to Airs University. Ryan Casey leads the league in interceptions with 3 after his Week 1 performance.

Pack a Punch (0–1)
Pack a Punch dropped their opener 18–6 to Not Fast Just Furious. QB Stefano De Seta threw 1 TD and 1 interception. Defensively, they did force 2 interceptions.

Shockerz (0–1)
Shockerz fell 33–12 to Blue Mountain State. QB DonnDre Borden threw 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. The team had no sacks or interceptions.

Flag Dealers (0–1)
Flag Dealers lost 40–12 to Sophomore XL. Despite the lopsided score, Marc Haddad had 91 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns, while Eric Hamparsoumian picked off a pass on defense.

Sour Puss (0–1)
Sour Puss allowed 42 points in a loss to Texas Whales. QB Ludovick Bélair-Dubois had 2 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Kerdley Micourt had 44 receiving yards and 2 scores.

Armed Robbery (0–1)
A 43–6 loss to Richter highlighted major defensive issues. QB Mike Collard threw 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions. The team recorded no sacks or interceptions.

Head Tops Only (0–1)
Head Tops Only dropped their opener 34–18 to Empereurs Retraités. QB Alessandro Storto threw 3 touchdowns and 1 pick. WR Dino Perillo had 84 yards.
