Division E – Week 3 Recap

Division E – Week 3 Recap

With three weeks in the books, the standings are beginning to take shape in Division E. Some contenders continued to build their case, while others are still looking for a spark. Here’s a team-by-team breakdown of all 27 squads following Week 3 action.

Tunesquad (3-0)
Another week, another win. Tunesquad took down Bend Don’t Break with ease. Charles Presser threw 4 TDs and ran for 63 yards, continuing his QB of the Year campaign. Jesse Dym was a standout on both sides with 2 INTs and a TD catch, while also adding 4 tackles. This team is undefeated for a reason — they’re fast, and efficient. Their defense has allowed just 39 points through 3 games, good for second-best in the division. They are off in Week 4.

Gold Rush (3-0)
Total domination in a 45-0 win over Takeoff Squad. QB Ness Saleh tossed 6 TDs on 11/13 passing and added 28 rushing yards. Jakob Sacksner (5-54-3) and Matthew Fixman (3-22-2) handled the scoring, while the defense was lights out with 3 interceptions, 6 pass deflections, and 1 sack. This team leads the league in both points scored (113) and fewest points allowed (40). They are off in Week 4.

Chomedey Chodes (3-0)
Matthew Bottazzi is getting it done with both his arm and legs. Another strong outing (4 passing TDs, 55 rush yards) in a 25-12 win over Sweet Bonanza. Defensively, Chodes notched 3 INTs, including key stops in the red zone. They’ve beaten good teams and are playing mistake-free football. One of the most complete teams in Division E. They take on winless Shockerz on Sunday.

Airs University (2-0)
They didn’t play in Week 3 but remain undefeated with a pair of one-score wins. Through two games, they’ve only allowed 25 points and are getting contributions from all phases. More will be revealed once they face high-powered offenses like Gold Rush or Tunesquad. They have a doubleheader Sunday vs. Flag Dealers and Sour Puss.

Demons (2-1)
Demons completely shut down Chapeau Perdu 43-0, showing off depth at QB with both Ben Eglencyan and Neil Wright throwing TDs. Ryan Casey was a force with a TD pass, INT, and a receiving TD. The defense forced multiple turnovers and didn’t allow a single point. A complete performance and a strong bounce-back after their Week 2 loss. They face STUDZ 2 on Tuesday.

Bend Don’t Break (2-1)
They fell 24-13 to Tunesquad despite leading 13-12 at the half. Luke Moreau threw for 157 yards and 2 TDs but also tossed 4 interceptions. Their defense forced 3 turnovers and held a strong team in check for a half, but that wasn’t enough. Still, they’re gritty and competitive, and should be in every game moving forward. They meet Texas Whales on Sunday.

Sophomore XL (2-0)
Another team on bye in Week 3. Through two games, they’ve outscored opponents 78-43 and look like one of the most explosive units in the division. Their next matchup will give us a clearer idea of whether they’re a top contender or just benefiting from a light early schedule. They take on Pack a Punch on Sunday.

Reborn Prospects (2-1)
They overwhelmed the Unicorns 31-7 with a dominant second half. Jeam Clairemond Jr. César threw for 166 yards and 4 TDs and also had an INT return for a score. Nathanael Dinku (5-59-2) continues to be a mismatch. McRodly JeanMarie had 4 PDs and an interception to lead the defense. A high-energy, playmaking group. They’ll face Flag Dealers Sunday night.

Blue Mountain State (2-1)
A surprising 38-6 loss to Takeoff Squad in a game where nothing clicked. QB Caleb Willms threw 4 interceptions and the defense allowed 5 TDs. They’ll need to regroup quickly after a hot start. Still 2-1 and capable of beating top teams, but Week 3 was a step in the wrong direction. They face Empereurs Retraités on Sunday.

Head Tops Only (2-1)
Alessandro Storto exploded for 171 total yards and 5 TDs in a 30-12 win over Shockerz. The defense contributed 3 INTs, with Costa Skarpetas making his presence felt in the red zone. Their offense looks crisp and the defense aggressive. This team is quietly making noise and has a chance to break into the top tier. They are off in Week 4.

Armed Robbery (2-1)
Inactive in Week 3. They’re 2-1 with a defense that swarms to the ball and an offense that can score quickly, albeit with some turnovers. Their identity lies in high-tempo, aggressive play. Week 4 will test their consistency against Unicorns on Sunday.

STUDZ 2 (2-2)
Two games, two wins in Week 3. They beat Not Fast Just Furious 32-25 and blew out TD Blitz 44-13. QB Pierre-Olivier Beaulne Lefebvre totaled 11 TDs across both games and Antoine Clément had 5 receiving scores. Their defense grabbed 3 INTs and allowed just 13 points in the second game. When they’re locked in, they’re dangerous. They face Demons on Tuesday.

Richter (1-1)
No game in Week 3. This team is built around a suffocating defense that has allowed just 14 points total in two games. They’ll need to generate more consistent offense moving forward to become a top-half team. They take on Chapeau Perdu Sunday.

Texas Whales (1-1)
Off in Week 3. A solid team that excels in field positioning and ball control. If they can continue forcing turnovers on defense, they could easily climb into the top 10. They’ll play Bend Don’t Break this Sunday.

Not Fast Just Furious (1-2)
Close but not enough against STUDZ 2. William Seguin passed for 152 yards and 3 TDs, and Vincent Demers posted 7-89-2 receiving. The defense had a pick-six but gave up 5 TDs. They’re close — just a few plays from flipping the result. They face UNSEEN on Thursday.

Pack a Punch (1-2)
Played twice and went 1-1, giving up 85 points in the process. Michael De Seta threw 10 TDs across both games and had 202 yards against UNSEEN. The defense, however, allowed 47 points in one game and struggled with coverage. They’re explosive on offense but need urgent help on defense. They’ll take on Sophomore XL Sunday.

Empereurs Retraités (1-2)
In a 38-31 shootout loss, Mathieu Duchesne threw for 240 yards and 5 TDs. David Ringuet was dominant with 11 catches for 163 yards and 3 TDs. But their defense gave up 6 scores. They have the firepower to win any game but need one or two stops defensively. They play Northvolt on Tuesday and Blue Mountain State on Sunday.

Sour Puss (1-2)
Franco Russo erupted for 230 yards and 6 TDs in a 38-22 win over Pack a Punch. Nicolas-Emmanuel Pierre and Kerdley Micourt were key weapons, each finding the end zone. A much-needed confidence boost for a team that’s struggled with consistency. They play Airs University on Sunday.

Unicorns (1-2)
Lost to Reborn Prospects 31-7. A major absence was Ethan Kreuzer, who is 10-for-10 on targets this season and possesses elite hands. Without him, the offense sputtered. Sean Costello (5-60-1) played, but this team needs one of its top playmakers back to compete. They face Armed Robbery on Sunday.

Flag Dealers (1-2)
Roy Khalil threw for 197 yards and 6 TDs in a 38-31 win over Empereurs. Michael Haddad caught 8 passes and scored 4 times. The offense is hitting stride, but the defense still has work to do — they’ve allowed 108 points through 3 games. They have a doubleheader: Airs University Saturday and Reborn Prospects Sunday.

TD Blitz (1-3)
A tough week with a 44-13 loss to STUDZ 2. Khaled Saadi threw for 96 yards and 2 TDs, but the defense gave up 6 TDs and had no takeaways. The team needs to regroup and focus on defense to stay competitive. They lost to Armed Robbery Monday and are off for the rest of Week 4.

UNSEEN (1-2)
Scored 32 but allowed 47 in a shootout loss. Kevin Legoute was a dual threat with 126 total yards and a TD. Patrick Lapierre and Michael De Seta combined for 5 passing TDs in their games. The offense can hang with anyone — defense needs to step up. They play Not Fast Just Furious on Thursday.

Takeoff Squad (1-3)
Two games, two very different results. They were blown out 45-0 by Gold Rush but rebounded with a 38-6 win over Blue Mountain State. Paul Beaudoin had 173 yards and 5 TDs in the bounce-back. Mathys Toussaint had 3 INTs, including a pick-six. Which version will we see next game? They are off in Week 4.

Chapeau Perdu (1-2)
Got blanked 43-0 by Demons in a game where nothing worked. The defense gave up 6 TDs and the offense couldn’t cross midfield. They’ll need to regroup quickly or risk losing the season. Bright spots have been hard to find. They face Richter Sunday.

Northvolt (0-2)
Idle this week. Still looking for win number one. They’ve allowed 52 points in two games and haven’t generated enough offense. Urgency is mounting as they prepare for Week 4. They face Empereurs Retraités Tuesday night.

Sweet Bonanza (0-2)
Lost to Chomedey Chodes 25-12 in a game that was closer than it looked. Antoine Caron has shown some flashes but needs to take care of the ball better. They’ll need to find a consistent scoring rhythm soon. They are off in Week 4.

Shockerz (0-3)
Dropped their third straight, falling 30-12 to Head Tops Only. DonnDre Borden threw 3 INTs and the offense struggled. They’ve scored just 57 points in 3 games and are still looking for their first complete performance. They take on undefeated Chomedey Chodes Sunday.
