Division 3 Semi-Finals Set

The 2025 FlagPlus Winter division 3 playoffs have reached the semi-final stage, with four teams preparing for tough matchups this Sunday at BeauChateau Sportplex. The winners will advance to the Championship Finals, scheduled for May 17–18 in Brossard.

The semi-final schedule features Backfield Penetration against the Bruins at 9:00 p.m., followed by Udaho Idapimps versus The Stoics at 10:00 p.m.

Backfield Penetration vs. Bruins (May 4, 9:00 p.m.)

Backfield Penetration enters the semi-finals as one of the division’s most complete teams. Led by quarterback Alessandro Barazzoni, the team posted a 9–1 regular season record. Barazzoni has thrown for 2,016 yards and 52 touchdowns while completing over 76 percent of his passes. On defense, Defensive Player of the Year Raffaele Morelli has recorded 24 sacks, and Jaylan Greaves has contributed seven interceptions and four defensive touchdowns.

The Bruins, by contrast, rely on efficiency. Quarterback Rocco Christiano has been remarkably effective, throwing for 921 yards and 29 touchdowns with just one interception across six games. Arnis Mehmetaj (384 yards, 10 TDs) and Isaac Paquette (333 yards, 8 TDs) lead the receiving corps, while Nicholas Gomes-Risso and Nelson Pereira anchor a defense that has come up big in critical moments. The Bruins advanced with a narrow 37–34 quarterfinal win over Bballers.

Prediction: Backfield Penetration 38, Bruins 26

Udaho Idapimps vs. The Stoics (May 4, 10:00 p.m.)

The Udaho Idapimps have been incredible, finishing the regular season with a perfect 10–0 record. Quarterback Brady Ohanessian has delivered an amazing campaign, passing for 2,240 yards and 57 touchdowns, and adding six interceptions on defense. His top targets, Marvin Steinberg (552 yards, 17 TDs) and Danick Coulombe (589 yards, 16 TDs), give Udaho one of the league’s most explosive offenses. Defensively, players like James Nguyen (39 tackles) and Sam Anastasopoulos (three sacks, three interceptions) add further strength.

The Stoics present one of the most intriguing challenges to Udaho’s unbeaten run. Quarterback Noah Swaminadhan has passed for 933 yards and 27 touchdowns without throwing an interception. Backup Chris Rivest has added 665 yards and 17 touchdowns, giving The Stoics rare QB depth. Emerson Peterkin (450 yards, 16 TDs) leads a deep receiver group, while Emyl Gregoire and Alexi Dubois headline a defense known for creating turnovers.

Prediction: Udaho Idapimps 35, The Stoics 28
