FlagPlus Football (FPF) is a men’s flag football league located in and around Montreal, Quebec (Canada). FPF runs leagues from January to April (Winter Season) and May to August (Spring Season). All games are played indoors in Greater Montreal’s most state-of-the-art sports complexes and air-supported domes. The field dimensions for FPF games are 50 yards long (plus end zones) and 30 yards wide, creating a fast-paced and exciting brand of flag football.
Separate divisions are offered to encourage football at all levels ranging from beginner to highly competitive. FPF’s top divisions boast some of Canada’s best athletes from both the CIS and CFL levels.
FPF employs a unique player rating system that helps maintain balance in every division. Each division has a maximum cap space. Players receive separate offensive and defensive ratings of anywhere between 50.0 and 100.0.
Detailed individual statistics for each game are kept by scorekeepers using an exclusive mobile application. Once a game is over, the information is available to the teams in real time. FPF also offers a plethora of weekly webcasts and articles throughout the season to keep things interesting between games!
FPF’s inaugural season took place in the Winter of 2005, and was made up of 18 teams and just over 200 members. In the decade since, FPF has welcomed an astounding 4000-plus football fanatics to its community.
The FlagPlus Football staff is made up of administrators, scorekeepers, media contributors and officials. In addition, FPF includes several voluntary committees made up of players and officials.
